Finally finished the story a few days ago after spending 2 months just loving this game from start to finish
Finally got here after 50 hours
It looks so big and so historical. I want this game so badly.
If you are buying this game with kuttenberg in mind DO NOT buy the game. 90%of the town houses churches and palaces is LITERALLY UNEXPLORABLE you cannot enter even the courtyards or the houses for anything except the trading houses. And they have stated they have cero intentions on changing this
I'm really glad i never saw the video before playing the game because the first time i stepped foot in Kuttenberg was honestly very impressive, i'm sure part of that comes from the tens of hours prior to Kuttenberg being split between tiny villages and wilderness, but still, most cities in games, particularly cities in Bethesda games, look like they would house around 20 people, but Kuttenberg definitely gives you the impression of having hundreds or thousands of residents. I can't tell you the amount of times i had to consult the map because i got lost 😂
All i can say is well done to the developers, in terms of optimization, attention to detail, story-telling, etc, this is a big step up from the first game, which i also loved. The only areas i have issue with are the voice acting, which is a little inconsistent at times, particularly Innkeeper Betty which might be some of the worst voice acting i've ever heard, and also the rain texture which often just looks like a gif of rain floating infront of you. Easily an 8.5/10, potentially a 9.
Very nice tour of Kuttenberg (or Kutna Hora nowadays). Shame we couldn't find Rosa's house IRL… (wink, wink!)
Ign is worst studio ever 😂😂
Is it really true that you can’t go inside of any of the churches in the sequel?
Looking forward to that hot take 7/10 score.
Can we have our own house in the new game
Honestly this makes medieval/fantasy cities in nearly every other game look hilariously simple. Only BG3 and Witcher really match it. And Bethesda with Starfield/Skyrim are just satire at this point. If they do the same thing in the next Elder Scrolls game they're done.
Weirdly enough this place reminds me of Ghent
It's like Skyrim with nuns!
There's actually nothing I hate more in RPGs than big cities (with ten-thousand side activities). The completionist in me just wants to tear my brain out from the inside.
I have been to Kutna Hora when I was studying abroad in the Czech Republic. It was a nice town.
Man, at this point it looks like this will be a hit… and then I imagine those crazy dudes will build Prag for KCD3.
Playing the first game on ps5 again just now and man, this is not just a step up but a huge leap.
I'm so excited and can't wait to play it. One thing I noticed is that these pop-ins are still there, unfortunately it kills the immersion sometimes. I hope it's not that bad with the final version.
Not every building is enterable? Interesting, that's a change from the first game. Hope it's not too detrimental.
Looks insane good, Im playing the first game
Can you throw rotten fruit at npcs, now that would be amazing! lol
I need a GDC talk about this environment art. Looks incredibly realistic.
Me looking down at my pc
My PC: "Don't even think about it."
10:10 seems like frame generation is being utilized for these showcases and there still seems to be some stutter. I really love these games and will play it anyways because it's probably going to be the greatest game released in a long time, I just hope TAA and frame generation and DLSS aren't all necessary for acceptable graphics and framerate.
Just terrible marketing. But the game will be fantastic.
It’s hilarious how much people complain about not enough people walking around in the city. Then if they added that, those some people would bitch that their potato PC can’t run the game. Sometimes you just can’t win
ah yes an IGN "gamer" using controller for a PC game..
Need an overhaul on the body and facial movements when it comes to realism but I love how it looks in general and can’t wait to get involved!
Theres nothing here worth being excited for ign are bought off and this will suffer the same disastrous launch as kcd1. The interviewer asked no technical questions about the engine. This video is all marketing
