The font looks a lot like the original Mario Bros movie.
I'm pretty sure most people cringed at Chris Pratt's speech before the trailer. I swear, he looks and sounds like he's reading off of a teleprompter or something.
My thoughts on the Mario movie teaser:
-While the teaser was shorter then I expected (then again it's a teaser), it definitely looks pretty good from a visual/artistic perspective. The story is appropriate for a Mario movie, a fun light hearted adventure with a fish out of water theme.
-Chris Pratt's Mario is about what I expected, he put on a bit of a Brooklyn accent but it's still Chris Pratt (i.e. it's fine/serviceable). Keegan's Toad and Kevin's Kamek are pretty solid and Jack Black absolutely nails his role as Bowser. Have a feeling Jack Black/Bowser will be doing a good bit of lifting for this movie.
-There was so little of Day's Luigi voice I can't really form an opinion on it.
Overall, a solid first impression. I look forward to future trailers and seeing how this movie turns out.
P.S. I will give Pratt the benefit of a doubt and wait for future trailers before I give my definitive opinion on his Mario voice. I'm curious what Seth Rogan's D.K., Taylor Joy's Peach etc. will sound like.
