Great summary. Just got myself a copy of this and it is a really great game – so many options and I love how the player boards are designed to fit the cards and show the relevant information. Can be a swine for AP though choosing what part of the cards you want to use though.
There is also a great automa on BGG for solo play that works really well.

Stronghold have picked some excellent games to publish (or re-publish), and I agree that this game is really good.
I've yet to have any trouble with the cards, and I'll disagree about not placing a marker in the grey craft building – not only is it important to mark that you've completed that one once (I forget, even with my marker there!) but the number of markers is intentionally limited.
