Love your videos—our 9 week GSP is thriving and so smart!
How many times do you repeat the specific training for each behavior? Thanks for everything!
Thanks for uploading these vids, they are very helpful. I’ve got a new 8 week old GSP and she is a fast learner!
How would you later train the puppy to stay in their place?
I just started teaching place with my 15 week old Brittany. He’s definitely catching on after about a week, but I’ve been putting the bed I use to teach place away when we’re not training. Is this OK? I don’t think he would choose to spend time on the bed outside of training sessions anyway, but I do want him to associate it with an appropriate place for him to rest outside of his kennel.
Great timing. Been watching your videos for many, many months and finally our GSP girlie is here! She's also 10 weeks old. Happened to teach this today on her new raised bed but gave the cue already. Thinking I might need to back it off a bit- I was marking laying down on the bed- is this ok? I don't get the same amount of focus as you. After maybe half a dozen reps she's wanting to go play with a toy, crawl under a cabinet, run around the room etc. What do you do if they lose focus and they still have kibble left. Hand feeding all kibble for training and jackpotting but always feels like a lot to get through. Love your videos!!!! Thank you so much for your content it's helped me a lot. The microwave timer for wees (I use the smart speaker) has been the best!
Thank You.
