I got it in 2025 and loving it. usually play jprg games and indie games, works perfect. Honestly its great on its own, but works great as a companion device to stream games from your gaming pc or ps5. open my game library to more indie games on steam and some of them are really cheap and i normally wait for the sales where its 50% off. very good deal. One of the BEST THINGS about the Steam Deck is the ease in repairs or even upgrades (in some cases). Unlocked by default. I have parts to replace my deck almost entirely. lol. Thank you eBay (and sellers) for the broken Decks.

I got the 512gb lcd model and its been a blast. I have four kids so my series x and my tv are my kids pretty much. I spend more time looking at the store than anything else. You can scroll for an hour amd not hit the end of games available

The games that don't work for me are typical monitor desk games like ARPG CRPG or any UI that is too small, other than that, what a game changer for down times at work or travel.
Used LCD is a steal, I have 375gb between ssd and sd, I don't think I'll upgrade storage, it just restrains me and focus my attention in few games at the time.
The upgrade that was spot on, was an anti-glare screen protector, made a huge difference when playing with daylight.
You could've put windows on an external drive whenever you plug that in you can stratup windows.
I have a steamdeck, legion go and a rog ally, steamdeck wins hands down for a console experirence use the other 2 for playing via a monitor ,all great systems in there own right.
Had mine a whole year it's amazing! I love the tinkering with it! Just so many options, thata what makes is so good and as for windows I have it on a separate M.2 on Savepoint! Windows runs just as well, even a Lil bit better not running on the main drive!
Mod Utilitys are getting better on Linux 🙂 it's not at a Point where it is compareable to Windows but the best i found so far has a decent number of supported Games and is klick and go – easy. (r2modman) The biggest difference is really the number of supported Games with this kind of tool. But it is Growing with the Number of People interested in it.

That guy must have dropped it really hard because I've dropped mine several times with no issues. It's really easy to dual boot windows and steam os . I've upgraded my 64gb og steam deck to 3tb. Dual booted

Just a tip and I mean no disrespect, the Steam Deck uses an SSD, not a Hard Drive. There is a difference because a Hard Drive has a spinning disc, an SSD uses NAND flash memory.

After using the steam deck for very few years and getting to know Linux you can get lots of windows Games working on the steam deck it just requires tinkering and sometimes virtual windows or even just protons
Great video man. I got my steak deck a couple months ago. Ive been loving it. Ive never been a PC gamer so this is my first time dipping my toe into something similar to PC gaming. It's awesome. I love the emulation so much, and i mainly use it for indie games and stuff. Not to worried about missing out on windows stuff tbh

Oh also you can expand the internal storage. Pop it open and just swap out the SSD. There’s guides for that as well. It’s cheaper to get the cheapest model and then swap out the internal memory for a terabyte ssd
