Why doesn’t any of these tips videos mention that you can just have Shadowheart use Command on the devil in the beginning and force him to drop his sword? You don’t have to kill him to get it lol
Typical IGN: not actual tricks or hidden mechanics, just stuff you SHOULD realize by playing the game like a GAMER.
Why would you not check every button to see what it did? Why would you not talk to party members at camp or otherwise, especially when they're marked with an exclamation point on the mini map?
This is a toned down version of the Cuphead "reviewer" who just didn't look at what was on his screen…

Use a cleric at the beginning of the game and command zhaulk to drop the sword. Helpful for higher difficulty runs
If you save shadow heart on the nautiloid (or play a cleric) you have access to the spell command which you can use on the devil to force them to drop their weapon. Saves you trying to fight such a difficult enemy early on

Om xbox, hold down "A" to make a circle expand from your character that will highlight all the interactions around you. When you release it you will have a handy list that you can scroll down and select things at your leisure.
It’s easier to go to camp using the camp button on the bottom right than opening the map
